I don't have too much experience with other 40S&W pistols, but I did buy a Sigma 40V a couple of years ago. I must say that other than cheap aluminum ammo, the pistol has function fine. It always goes bang and no extraction or failure to feed jams. The pistol is also quite accurate with the high quality ammo I have tried, especially 165 grain Winchester SXT. It is possible that early sigmas had problems which may account for all the negative comments. I can't think of any other reason unless folks just don't like that fact that S&W stole Glock's idea. In fact the sigma feels a lot better in my hand than the glock. Anyway, my pistol works well and I hope this puts some balance into the discussion.
