Hey guys I need some help choosing a full size double stack 9mm. I am capping my price to about 350. I've been eyeballing the following, TP9 ( don't like the SAO TP9SA), a used 5906 ( I've had one of these in the past and loved it), EAA Witness, SAR BP6, Arcus 98DA, And the other Canik guns like the Shark. I LIKE A DA/SA semi auto. So throw me some opinions and impressions of the guns listed. I haven't seen a bad review of any of them really?

the canik shark or Tri-Star t100 is about the closest lone of a cz-75 you'll ever get. the trigger is actually lighter although slightly sloppier. mine has never had a malfunction on 3k rounds, every review is outstanding. the blue finish sucks though, go with the hard chrome if you can find it, or go with the larger canik's that have a steel frame. the alloy frame the blue just doesn't stick. a beretta 92 is on my list someday, those are a real pleasure as well. the tp9 have pretty nice triggers a well, but if I am going to buy a ful-size gun, I wouldn't see why not to buy a hammer-fired, they just shoot nicer

20 yards standing shootng fast. Tri-Star t100 or canik shark-c

If you want the best DA/SA 9mm for your money you will get an EAA (Tanfoglio) Stock 9mm. This: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=466079744

If you can get this gun for anything under $650, you are getting a great deal. I have the same gun in 10mm. I also have a very nice glossy blue CZ 75B and a S&W 659 (2nd Gen of the 5906). Here is why I like THIS Tanfoglio pistol:

Hard Chrome frame and slide - scratch resistant, rust resistant, durable and attractive;

17 round capacity; magazines are highly polished and exceptional quality also.

Trigger - hands down the best DA/SA trigger out there on any production gun; better than the one on my CZ 75B. I might be able to upgrade the CZ trigger to get it as good as the Tanfoglio, but out of the box, the Tanfoglio is superior

Cone barrel/slide lockup - gives exceptional accuracy

Back and front strap checkering on the grip; also nice set of wood grips comes with the gun

The internal parts are excellent quality - great fit and function on all parts; also great slide to frame fit.

A Sphinx AT 2000, might be as good as this particular Tanfoglio. Good luck trying to find one of those for less than $1,700

$299 + $20 for hand select.

I picked one up from a different vendor but am very happy with it. Just remember that these are surplus guns with older sights. It would not be my first choice for a defensive handgun but as a range toy it is excellent and is an example of the way Beretta used to make guns. No plastic guide rod trigger etc.... Nice blued finish. Classic look.

Never been shot prior to the rounds I sent down it.

If you can push the budget up a bit there are Sig SP2022s with night sights for $400 or so shipped.
