This is the one I find funny it's a Rem 700 long range . Which is a Rem 700 police with a h.s . persisicion so they take of the H'S and put on a BC leave the Police super sniper contour on and Chang the name ane drop 800 dollars off the price oh well good for me The BC is one of the better ones I've seen very thin and light weight and totally pillar and block bedded in allunimum muzzle ends at .830

You've gotten some very good suggestions above- you really should heed them.

Customs are great for those that have the coin, and the experience to know exactly what they want in a rifle.

You should know, as others again have stated, that they shoot incrementally better-if done by a quality builder- than some factory rifles.

Off-the-rack Savages like the LRP will shoot 3/4 minute- which means it will likely shoot better than you for some time. If you have the itch to D.I.Y., building a Savage (to me, it's more "assembling") is fun, easy, and you get a level of customization similar to a custom, without the cost.

I'm in the camp with the others to get (or build) a good factory rifle- Savage or Rem 700- and top it off with quality glass that you can move to a custom down the line. MtnCreek gave you a good start with some builder references that can do the job well.
