As I understand it the actual rifling is not what takes pistol barrels from top of the line production models to "true Match WINNING." It is my understanding the difference there is mostly in the chamber work and a little to do with crown work. Depending on the action I am sure finding a barrel with lugs that are tight fitting to the pistol slide/frame/whatever also plays a major role.Does anybody make a Glock type wavy "polygonal" barrel of true Match WINNING Grade, rifle or pistol?
My information comes from speaking with two gunsmiths about ordering custom pistol barrels.
