need help with new gun buy???

A pound and a half (24 ounces) is nothing for carrying a gun. If that is a burden, maybe ones belt and pants crotch need to be hitched up to where they belong, never mind multicultural dress mode and underwear as public fashion. Nothing personal, just a rant, but we have a nation of youth that dress like they are retarded, with a complete lack of taste and good grooming. Then they expect to conceal an effective firearm.

At 67 years old I'm far from having the saggy pants fashion! By choice anyway.:D
But to me an extra 1/2 pound of carry weight, even in a well designed IWB holster like my Theis Hybrid IWB model is very noticable. Most often my LCR is pocket carried in a coat pocket in a DeSantis Nemesis for cold weather carry, and I know an extra 10 ounces would be noticed even more in that mode.
I know for a fact that the 12 ounces difference between my KAHR CM9, and Springfield XD40 Sub Compact is very noticable in the same exact style of Theis IWB holster.

Like Cheapshooter, I think Speer 135 gr Short Barrel rescues my small 357s from being just guns to shoot special reloads, scaled down to suit the weight and barrel length. I did shoot up some of it for evaluation and now use it as standard carry in my 3" S&W 60 Pro Series. The Ruger SP101 357 3"+, on the other hand, is in the For Sale pile, supplanted by the .327 Federal Magnum version. It's a gun that should have been 38 Special-only as 5 shot or its real calling in 327 Fed, 6 shot. Along with that, the cylinder window of the frame could go back to original dimensions except for 327 Fed. They probably still own the mold or machining program.
