Need Handgun Help From the Experts!

based on my limited expierence compared to some of the others here-I have had great luck with kimbers-here in Wi you can start with a brand spankin new kimber custom for about 600$$.
I'd buy another kimber in a heartbeat. just my .o2 worth

You did say "light hunting" which pratically demands A glock 20 in 10mm, maybe a Tanfoglio 10mm if you're on a buget.

Sundance,

Of the three pistols you mentioned, I would probably go with the Colt 1991A1. It will give you the opportunity to ring out a design completely different from your Glock. If you decide you don't like it, the Colt will probably hold it's resale value somewhat better than most other brands. Now, having said that, don't put too much stock in any particular brand as far a quality is concerned. Buy the brand that feels best in your hand. As long as you stay with a major manufacturer such as Colt, Kimber, Springfield, etc., you'll be fine. They are all about equal. All make fine pistols, all spew forth an occasional clunker, and they all come with a factory warranty, although you probably won't need it.hth-TR

Do NOT buy the HK until you've had a chance to shoot it. I nearly bought one of these having never fired one. I just loved everything about the gun up until I shot it. You have to absolutley love a LOOOONG trigger pull (although staging is easy) and you MUST be able to manage the high bore-axis induced muzzle flip. I couldn't do it consistently so I passed. It is a great gun, don't get me wrong. Just let the buyer beware! If you're used to the way 1911's and Glocks feel you might have some trouble gaining adequate control.

Regards,

Warm Bore

PS: I'd pick the Colt hands down.
