This sentence is worthy of its own thread. I'd love to hear more about these backyard gun shops springing up to fuel criminal enterprises. There has not been enough discussion of this as a possible consequence to more restrictive gun laws.

The compact CZ would be my choice. Specificly the 75D Compact PCR with alloy frame and other carry related features. I own the full size and have shot the PCR and IMO they are great pistols. I'm holding out for the Compact to be chambered in 40 (Due out early 2002). Since I already own 2 compact pistols to fill the CCW role, I'm in no hurry. Rest assured once they are released, I'll be getting one.
