Need advice on BULLPUP style rifles

You tease me like this, Robert - Its cruel...
If I find out your teasing, I'll either kill you, or force you to watch Rosie O'fat and Barbera Striesand movies!

If you do a search on the M17S you will find there are those who love them and those who hate them. Very few people are neutral on the "is it is better or not than an AR". I have one and like it. It is cleaner and cleans up faster. Mine shoots from 7/8" to 1 1/8" at 100 yards consistantly with Nosler BT handloads. The trigger takes a lot of getting use to and it needs a scope. I use a ATN 5x33L. Oher issues are that the handguard heats up some if you run a lot of rounds thru it in a short time. Another plus is due to the longer BBL length you get more velocity out of a much shorter package, and that is where the rubber hits the road. MWT

Not a fan of bullpups: I like the mag well out between me for tac and speed reloads and the threat and triggers are usually sloppy.
Depends on what you are trained on. The AUG looks O.K. (Cooper's fav), but never got used to it. As well, offset can cause problems. Brits and Osterreicheren shoot each other every now and then because of offset (same prob with 16 and laser/phaser junk on weapon).

If you get one, be sure to train on it. Man not the weapon.

Why do people keep recomending weapons I can't buy?! As cool as 90% of the H&K stuff is it's not and probably never will be an option for me. I'm pretty much limited to your basic selection under $1000. What can I say? I suck, let's leave it at that. If anyone knows of a good assault rifle close to or under $1000 by all means tell me.
This news of the TAVOR is very good. I won't hold my breath since it doesn't seem to be a sure thing yet. If it does come out I'll get it for sure if it's anything like the real Tavor. Thanks a lot for that tip. I'll say no more.
