Need a replacement barrel for my 915.

I don't see anything that concerns me in the pictures. I think it's probably fine.

Try shooting it from a rest at 15 yards or farther out to see how it does.

Scooby,

It looks good with the stainless bits.

I read up on the differences between the guns, and the 910 is the super budget 3rd gen. No locking lug on the barrel, plastic bits and pieces.
Seems like the 915 was their transitional model as it's basically just the same as the 59 series with some slight differences. Probably why they only made it for two years. Like a non ambi safety, no adjustable rear sight, less finish machining, etc.

Have you removed the magazine disconnect in yours? Did it improve the trigger any?
The prior owner removed the magazine safety, and said that the gun had a trigger job done on it.
He said he got it from his uncle, who he stated was a regional distributor for S&W (gun came from Utah, I imagine it was some western region).

The trigger is very nice. but from what I've read on the S&W forums, the safety isn't causing problems like, say, the Hi Power safety does (I took the mag safety out of my HP clone, and it was a huge improvement).

I'd say that my 915 has a trigger very comparable to my 39-2, with a crisper and more distinct reset.
