need a great cleaning solution

A little research into SEAL 1 and I found out "for best results", as they say in the instructions, all parts need to be warm. From reviews on several forums this means heating up the gun parts with some sort of heat source.
It's explained on one forum that heating the metal causes pores to open, filling them with the SEAL 1. Then it is trapped as the metal cools leaving a dry surface. Heating from firing then releases the material to provide lubrication. They state that actually any type of clip would have the same effect when the metal is heated.
I'll stick with 100 years of success....Hope's #9. :D

Its bio safe, actually it eco green
That right there tells me it's next to worthless as a cleaner. I haven't found any type of "green" cleaner that does much more cleaning than warm water.

Believe what you wish, but it just melts the dirt off your gun! I've used good old #9 for over 25 year's and thru it all out. Seal1 is no "seen on tv" product, its a honest product that does the job. Try it or dont, thats your choice.

As for heating the gun thats as simple as cleaning right after shooting it or just putting the parts in the afternoon sun or even a hair dryer.

As for 100 years, at one point the flintlock was the bomb. Then came the ball n cap then the bullet. Single shot, then tube feed rifle which gave way to internal magazine then removable magazines.

A lot of change when a better option came up. The were a lot of fad and flops along the line but there was improvements also.

I don't want to be jacking threads, but I see mentioned stainless steel tornado brushes. Will they not scratch the bore? My procedure is to use # 9 and patches, 00 steel wool if needed for leading and to leave the black rings on the cylinder face but to remove solid carbon matter everywhere. I do not own a tornado brush. Always thought about it.
