Need a good ccw pistol dont know much about them.

What I use

I have quite a few guns and will carry a larger one if my clothing and the situation allow - something like your Glock 23. But when I want a really small carry gun I use one of the two below, a S&W 642 revolver or a 9mm Kahr MK9. I use inside the waist band tuckable appendix holsters or a pocket holster. Both guns conceal quite well but give me 5 to 7 rounds of a reasonable self defense caliber for close range use.

I'm a freak of nature that mostly carries full size.

Have my XD45 on me now, love carrying my Glock 22, feels great carrying my 1911, my Glock 27 is great to conceal deeply.

Rarely to never carry my Model 19 S&W or Browning Hi-Power.

Search CCW you'll find wars of disputes, opinions, and facts. :)

Funny...I don't recall ever saying I "can't" you conjured that one up yourself. Obviously I want to. Cause I do it :D

Putting words in someones mouth is NOT nice. :P

"Need advice on a good ccw pistol. It doesnt much matter if its a auto or revolver just easy to conceal. I mostly shoot glocks. How is there sub compact 9 or 40? Are they easy to conceal or are there better choices, i already have a 23 and a 20 i want something alot smaller. I want it to be reliable"

Well, you should be a good judge of Glock reliability now.

Their sub-compact .40 cal (model 27) compared to the compact model 23 (.40 cal).
27: 6.29 inches long----4.17 high----1.18 inch Width----barrel 3.46 in----19.75 oz

23: 6.85 inches long----5.0 high-----1.18 inch Width----barrel 4.02 in----21.16oz

IMHO, the sub-compact Glock 27 would not (in a holster) be enough smaller than
the compact Glock 23;
but thats in MY opinion.
You should probably take your Model 23 to a store and try it in pocket/holster and compare how it feels to YOU when you put a model 27 in its place. Based on Your frame and where You carry - it might make a noticable difference.

If you don't see a significant advantage to the Model 27, then you may want to start Investigating a slim 9MMs or 380s.

Nothing more useless for CCW than a weapon you are not carrying when you feel you need it.

Personally, I carry a G19 almost every day. The days I can't it's a G26 in a tuckable holster under a dress shirt.

I won't own a gun smaller than the G26. I'm not going to trust my life to a .380 or 5-shot J-frame in my pocket.

I think the OP has hit on the essential shortcoming of the Glock design, especially for pocket carry. They are fat. Any double stack is fat...it is the nature of the beast. I owned a G23 for 10 years and a G19 for a couple years, and tried to get comfortable carrying them (IWB) but was unable to do so. No longer own either.

If you can live with a lower mag capacity, a single stack 9mm can be a very compct pocket pistol. Mine is a Kahr PM9, but some consider them pricey. Kahr is coming out with a CM9 that will be just as small, but more affordable.

IME, a single stack .45acp can be concealed easily IWB...easier than any double-stack.

I carried 1911's IWB for years, as well as SIG's and Glocks. I never noticed any difference between them. I suppose its what you use and what youre used to.

Some people just dont like IWB too, although I personally think its about the most comfortable and concealable way to carry a pistol.

Pocket carry only works if your dress and your pockets allow it. It never worked for me for a couple of reasons. The main one being I always have to much other junk in my pockets. Getting at the gun and printing, even with a holster are a couple of others. I actually feel more self conscious with a Seecamp in my pocket than I do with a full sized pistol IWB under my shirt.

Another issue too is one my buddy always had, and thats the "skoal ring" effect. All his pants had an obvious outline of a Walther TPH in the right front pocket. He even used a good leather holster with the gun, but he always had it along, and like that little can in the other pocket, it showed.

When I carry my 26, its usually in an ankle holster, although I'll also just stick it in my waistband at about 1 o'clock. Its not hard to hide at all, although theres no way ones going into one of my pockets. Even with "fat boy" pleated pants. :)

:/ oops, sorry....lol

OP, if you reaaaaaally want a small CCW pistol there are so many I feel like crying to type them all. :p

I'm a semi auto fan in general. But for carry purposes, I've found that my light weight snub-nose revolver works best for me. It's not a particularly interesting weapon, (from the perspective of a semi auto enthusiast like me), but it sure is practical, easy to carry, and reliable. For day to day carry, that's what I'm looking for.

If you're one of the guys that can find a double stack semi auto to be light enough and comfortable enough to carry every day, more power to you. But if you end up arriving a the conclusion that you'd like something simple and light weight, and as reliable as a stone, then you might like a small revolver.

If so, take a close look an any of the scandium alloy or aluminum J frame revolvers from S&W. 642, 442, 340, ect. Note: The prices on S&W airweight revolvers like the 642 & 442 have dropped a lot recently. I'm seeing them priced at $370 now.

Several ranges now stock guns just for the purpose of allowing persons to "shoot before you buy".

Seek one out that does, or shoot your friends guns, and find out what works best for you.

Everyone is different and has different ideas about which gun is best for a variety of scenarios.

Just my two cents.............

Not trying to be smart but if i should carry what i shoot best and size doesnt matter then that would be a rifle thats kind of hard to conceal. Yea it is possible to conceal my glock 23 but i dont. And since i never have it on me its not doing any good. I would like to carry something that i could fit in my pocket (emphasis added). Some people dont mind carrying a full size gun,and i dont either if its on my side and im in the woods. But i already have guns for that.

You mentioned that you are interested in something that you could "fit in [your] pocket."

Overall Length of Less Than Six Inches - .32 ACP or Larger".

You don't say how you dress or what you do for a living or your body size and type....

I can carry a Python on my hip 8 months of the year, concealed, if I want to. What you can wear will affect what you can carry.
