I'm a M70 guy too, but if I were building a .416 bolt gun, I think I would check this out also.....
Its a CZ 550 magnum, built on a square bridge Muaser action. Availible calibers, .300 win mag, up to .416 Rigby.
I saw one the other day at a local gunshop. I was impressed. It would take a little smoothing in the action, but sounds like you have that all taken care of yourself
. Best part was the price,....it was $600, and this particular store is typically a full retail shop. Plenty of $$$$ left for custom work and good optics. Plus, its availible in the REAL .416, a RIGBY[no belt!].
Just a thought......check them out if your at the SHOTSHOW next week,...I know I will be visiting the CZ-USA booth. Good luck.
