How about a picture of one of those "aggressor" targets, like the ugly-looking bastard pointing a shotgun at you, and the caption, "Thanks for supporting gun control."
 
Several I like. Some I even thought of:

Crime Control, not Gun Control.

Gun Control isn't Crime Control.

Gun Control. Crime Control. Pick one.

Crime Control deals with criminals. Gun Control deals with me. You don't want to deal with me.
 
This will only work correctly if you're a size large, hairy and scary-looking meatball of a gun-nut:

Actually, the quote about giving up liberty for security actually came from Thomas Jefferson, the Franklin quote and whatever is on the statue of liberty don't sound quite as good. Look it up in bartlett's or something like that.
My suggestion is to have "What part of 'shall not be abridged' don't you understand?" on the front and "Have you read the United States Consititution today?" on the back.
