National Concealed Carry Law!

Has anybody perceived the fact that a law passed by Congress requiring each state to recognize the CCP of other states would be in violation of the 10th amendment? I support the Bill of Rights, all of it. Let's not get so carried away in our desire to promote the 2nd that we do it at the expense of the 10th.

We need a SC ruling that says that all gun control laws are unconstitutional, and then we'll all have Vermont carry.

Done and signed. The states have been allowed to subvert the Bill of Rights for far to long. It seems to me the things the Federal government should be getting into, they don't, and the things they shouldn't, they do. The right to bare arms is a universal right knowing no borders. How can a state or city take it upon itself to restrict that right to any citizen of the United States?! I have no problem with the idea of the responsibilty to be properly trained to excercise that right properly, and that seems like a reasonable and proper function for state and local government.

Signed!
I have a CCW for Tennessee, and it is so aggravating that Alabama doesn't recognize it. That means if I want to go to Florida for vacation, I have to travel all the way east through Georgia. And Tennessee is a really LONG state!

You used to have to have State Dept approval to ship shotguns less than 18" out of the country. Learned that when involved in shipping guns outside the US.
