That you're still enjoying our sport and defending the SECOND and RTBA at your age....yes I use them with new Glock mags, they are a pain to get those last 3 rounds in for me too. I have CP and I'm 49!!! I usually leave off the last two to save wear and tear on the mag springs and use +10% powered springs to replace them. You've known a lot longer than most of us that weak magazine springs cause failures, not at all desirable in a self defense scenario!!

Been shooting since my Dad brought me to his pistol and rifle club when I was 10. My Dad was strong, so strong that I used to call him the Bull (never to his face.) Because he was so strong and probably the reason he got like that was he did everything by hand. He taught me to load 1911 mags by hand.

I am pushing 70 years old and have never used a mag loader. I recently purchased a Gen 4 Glock with a 17 round mag and load it to capacity by hand. Anything that takes strength cannot be done without working up to it gradually. Just one of the little lessons of life.

When shooting with my buddies that use mag loaders, I can load my mag and be back on the firing line well before they have finished loading theirs, and that includes most of the younger guys.
