My Poor Momma in Law!

You "had" a nice dog named Iger ... !? I assume it ended up the worst way ...

Prayers for Iger. I had a samoyed once. Dogs are innocent. Bad people are the ones that make them vicious, bad people are the ones that destroy them in dogfights, torture, animal testing, gassing at "shelters."

Man, I want a crack at this @#$%. And the other one too.

That's why our dept. has a policy of always asking for home and work phone numbers when issuing citations. We ALWAYS call first rather than head on over to go arrest the FTA's right off the bat. Sometimes, this is easier. We tell them on the phone that we're going to come get them, and they come on down to the P.D. Sometimes, however, they either don't take us seriously or lay low. Those, we have to chase down. Some might say that it's easier to just go fetch them at their house without warning them. That's not exactly community-oriented policing, considering we're talking about simple traffic tickets. (In your aunt's case, equipment and registration violations.)

Failure To Appear is probably the #1 most common warrant that I run into. It's the silliest reason to get arrested. If there's one thing I've learned since becoming a cop, it's that life is easier if you take care of your bidness. George, it sounds like this cop (city marshal? warrant detail officer?) doesn't do things the community oriented way. I'm sorry to hear of it. But DON'T get yourself in a bad spot because of it.

L.P.
