My plan of action. Anything you'd add/do differently?

Well that is an interesting read . I remember BartB talking about doing that same thing . It gets me thinking about the "what influences accuracy more" thread Pond stared . That shows the bullet has a great deal to do with accuracy . I wounder if you replaced the factory case with a Lapua case . Would that give similar results ? That sure seems like a quicker and cheaper way to check what influences accuracy more .

Nice link!!

They do however change to a better bullet which is something that has no benefit to me in this case: the saving would be the primer and powder charge, in which case I can probably get better results sticking to my own recipes.

I was thinking that same thing: a number of people said that you just couldn't separate the importance of the different components. Well, perhaps you can...

At least it suggests to me that that thread was not such an outlandish question after all!

And another thing!!

Yet another reason when I can just forget the Finnish milsurp, if steel-jackets weren't enough...

It took 3, yes 3, cases with that infernal asphalt sealant to clog my collet die so badly that the cases almost didn't come out again!

No, I think those are just going to the ignore list. All my cheap shooting hopes lie in South America!!

don't forget the finn milsurp. I have been having lots of fun with. I am very close to getting sub-moa and have has a blast. I will have a video next week shooting my finn from 100-200-300 and one to six and back..it has proven fantastic rifle, and probably my MOST fun project rifle yet.

by this time next week, I will this have a cheap mosin sub moa's out to 600= and back, it'll be the condition of the bore/chsmer and the quality of the handlod. this has been my most difficult gn to build, but I am very impressed
