My new (to me, at least) P7M8!!!

I've always felt that the heating issue some seem to be fixated on was basically sour grapes. I've run a few hundred rounds through my P7s in an afternoon and they've never been abusively hot. Warm, sure. Hot, no way.

P7s are very consistantly accurate. They always pretty much perform the same across a wide variety of conditions. That's why they're arguably the best 9mm auto out there. Sure my SIG can outshoot them on occasion, but overall the P7s are much easier to shoot well. Generally 1.5" to 2.0" at 25yds is the norm, regardless of ammo. This is more than my HiPower or SIG can say.

As for Glocks, well, I have a .45 and it's a good gun. It would be long gone, though, if HK had ever produced the P7M7. As long as there are P7s to be had, no 9mm need apply. I don't see any Glock superiority. They're OK for someone else. I have my P7s, no need for Glocks.

Congratulaions on your HK P7. Someday I'm going to buy one.

Don't let others poopoo your excellent decision. Members of the Church of Glock thrive on dumping on others that don't agree with them.

So many pistols, so little money.

Congrats on the P7, that gun is incredible- love the way they shoot. I'll eventually take the plunge, I'm just in denial that I have to spend $700-$800 for one of these top notch 9's. Happy blasting.

Congrats!

You'll have to consider getting your P7 hard chromed if you really want to protect it.

My 1984 PSP looks brand new and it was hard chromed by MetaLife 16 years ago.

The P7 is one of the most accurate 9mm combat handguns made. But as some guy stated earlier, you can certain do just as well with a nice Glock 17/19/26/34 or a nice Sig P225/226/228. They are tack drivers too.

I just like P7s because they're different with their squeeze cockers and it's good to have one in your 9mm collection.

Whenver I pick up a P7M8 or M13, I still grab at the bottom for the mag release like it's a PSP. Just make sure you practice a good bit to engrain the P7 manual of arms.

Happy shooting and go with light and hot rounds to see what your P7 likes.

Park Cities Tacticals has a good 200 P7 owners lurking and posting there so check it out!
