My new baby! :) :) :)

Now I can, and if some freak comes up to me and asks, "Are you all alone out here, honey?" I can say, "No, sir. I'm here with a friend!" [/quote] You're not paranoid, you're smart. :)
Congratulations! I'm so happy for you. The feeling of freedom it great, isn't it? I'll take the boys and head for the hiking trails at the state parks, something I'd never do unarmed. Just me and the 2 boys and my 9mm ... and sometimes the dog, though he's not nearly as scary looking as your Jake so he's totally ineffective as protection. His attitude is "You must be a good guy if you give me a cookie."

Cool pictures of your day at the range. Keep Ricky on brass detail as long as you can. The novelty has worn off for my Rick. "We're done shooting. Time to pick up the brass, Rick." In his best whine, "Awww, Mom, do I have to?"

Hey Coinn, I guess I don't have to keep you guys a secret anymore, huh? :D

Test it with the carry ammo of your choice to ensure reliability and accuracy. With the gun unloaded, practice drawing it while straddling your bicycle. It also helps to determine what is comfortable carrying technique while cycling. Also practice dismounting quickly and engaging a target. Above all else, remain alert to your surroundings.

And yes, congratulations and enjoy!

Mucho hearty congrats...
About 10 years ago, my half picked out a Walther for her first.
And she's really been pleased, hardly ever lets me shoot it.... :(
Safe shooting and best of luck...

Seriously, thanks to everyone for all the support/suggestions. Gary, that's excellent advice, I'm going to have to do that.

Blueyedog, I'm glad I'm not the only mom that feels that way. Usually, I know I would just get stares of horror  from the other moms (not the ones here). BTW, Jake has the same attitude about cookies as your doggie, you just can't tell by looking at him! ;)

Brass update: empty cartridges have now replaced Little People as passengers on the Little People Bus! :D :D :D

CindyH, that's a mighty fine looking weeepon you got there! I know you love it, and I'm glad you got it! Have fun, and be safe.

On a side note: That young 'un would love to have a Ruger Bearcat, I'll bet!! :D

H....CindyH, Do you hear James Bond music in the backround when you pull it out of your holster?

I am not sure if a Walther will be a + or - on the White Trash score board, I think we will have to -20, but using the brass for little people will be a +40 giving you a net gain of 20, good job, keep up the good work.
