My latest gun. Hey, it is new, and it was free....

Our primary handgun is a Glock 22. We are also issued a 12 gauge shotgun, along with the Glock 27. ALL our guns are brand new. Actually all our SafariLand leather, uniforms, boots, Motorolas, and everything else is brand new.

I like working in LEO since everyday is something different, and I am not stuck in a office somewhere. I've worked in the computer nerd industry for 4 years, and the LEO is better hands down. It is just a better quality of coworkers, more interesting duties, cool cars/toys to use, etc.... All of which makes the day fly by.... :)
 
I just bought a 27 yesterday, It was a long way off from being free however. Just out of curiousity does yours have aftermarket sights on it? What cartridge does your department issue for use?
 
WOW! Living in a town where you must on a gun. What a concept! My Father-in-Law's best friend as a child is Rep. Saxby Chambliss of Georgia who is very pro gun. He's running for the Senate and my wife's Dad recently flew to Atlanta to meet with him and George W. at a fund raiser.

Nice back up as well with the engraving and all. Hopefully, if you stay there long enough, they will let you keep it so your Grandchildren can enjoy it.
