My introduction

Welcome, Tall Man!

Lotsa Pennsy folks on board. Me? Raised in Erie County, vacationed (long and often) in Snyder, Union, and Centre Counties. Hunted all four with .22LR and 16ga.

I still like gebratne grundburra (don't know how it's spelled) and still tell people (sounds like) Zy net zo %#$ dumm!

Now if you can tell me what "Mir muss brunsen!" means (preferably by e-mail :D :D), I'll believe your Dootch background! :D

Glad you joined us, Tall Man. What gun-related interests do you have?

Welcome, Tall Man.

Good to have another firearms enthusiast from north of the Mason-Dixon.

(We're out-numbered if you haven't noticed.) ;)

Welcome from a native Pennsylvanian. You are correct. There is a real wealth of expertise on TFL.

You have to be there when it's all over. Otherwise you can't say "I told you so."

Better days to be,

Ed

I, too, appreciate the correct use of grammar, though after midnight I can't always write it. ;) Well-written, Tall Man.

Welcome. Now for the important question. With the 'handle' you've chosen, inquiring minds want to know: just how tall are you? :)

Tall man,
I think the JPFO uses the term Moral gun-owner in lieu of Law-Abiding. I like that. I am not nor do I ever entend to be a "Law-Abiding" gun owner. I plan on being a free moral being, and fully responsible for my actions.
You will grow to love this board. I can think of no finer place on the net. This is my first and last resource for anything remotely related to the second love of my life.

You folks are an inquisitive lot. :D

Here are the replies to the various queries in this thread, in no particular order:
1. Prior to my initial submission, I’ve “lurked” for app. 2 months.
2. Gun-related interests: I am on a cosmic quest for inexpensive ammunition.
3. 1911 vs. Glock vs. .45ACP vs. 9mm? Let's not waste time: I prefer .45ACP as a defensive round, period. My primary pistol is an EAA Witness compact polymer .45, and I’m very happy with my choice of weapon. I’ve not had the opportunity to shoot a true 1911 or a Glock; accordingly, I don’t have an opinion of these items. A friend of mine owns a pre-ban G17, and cannot speak of it without excessive drooling.
4. Denise: I’m 6’3”, and worth the climb.

Hello again to all from Harrisburg!!

NRA? Good. Now join the GOA!

The NRA is our shield, the GOA will be our sword.

Welcome Tall Man. If you want to shoot a 1911, then you really do need to go shooting with ArmySon. I'm not sure, but I think he now owns his body weight in them, if not then he will.

Welcome Tall Man! If I didn't read you were from PA, I would think you could be my Brother in Law :D Seriously, he is like 6'3-6'4 and has the nerve to call me little one :D Welcome to TFL! I think you're going to like it here.

Welcome,

As to your resume: Only a Jeffersonian libral could survive a college education and still be able to think critically.
Sensop, a senior member, who posts here, says, a person can be educated beyond their intelligence. The examples abound.
All the education in the world doesn't help if, once a person escapes the halls of academia, one is unable to think critically.

Welcome. Fig Newtons, huh.
I like them,too.
You will be a nice addition to our
ever-growing family, but you will have to share a room!
