My girlfriend likes guns too!

I really didn't mean it like 'only 300yds' like its nothing. My neighbor and I have been having friendly competitions at 300yds, I use my 308 and he uses his 30-06, winning is no easy task. But, with the 50bmg, 300 really isn't that difficult of a shot, especially prone off the bipod at an 18in disc.

Btw, this thread was from last winter she's now my wife. And she does have a sister, not an 'anti' but not into guns or hunting at all .

I'm convinced if as many women shot as men did it would be clear women, in general, are more naturally talented at shooting. Just my thoughts though.

My wife is not a shooter, although not opposed to guns or me having them. When we were young I tried to get her involved. It didn't work. Now at just past 9 years of marriage I've decided having a hobby she doesn't participate in is a good thing! Ha!

My wife is a huge football fan, which works out very well :)

I don't think this is the case; I do think a female shooter is often easier to train than a male shooter and is more likely to listen to advice, so they often end up being better shooters as a result. But I don't think it has anything to do with natural talent, I think it's simply a social issue.

In my experience, many men who go shooting aren't interested in getting advice on how to be a better shooter. Shooting is often seen as a "manly" thing, and too many men don't want to admit they don't know what they're doing. At the LGS/range where I used to work, I can't tell you how many times I saw a man acting like he was an expert shooter who obviously had very little idea on how to shoot a gun properly.

But, in my experience, women are more likely to admit they don't know what they're doing and be willing to take advice. And when someone is willing to take advice on how to be a better shooter, they're more likely to become a better shooter.
