My girlfriend likes guns too!

Took a few people, my girlfriend, plus a buddy and his wife to the range a while back. My buddies wife wouldn't even get near the big gun, but my GF didn't even hesitate when she got the opportunity.

The funniest part is the look on guys faces when they mention a 50cal and she just shrugs and says 'eh, has less recoil than a 12 gauge':D. And she hit the plinker (18x2 steel plate) on her first shot (only 300yds, though)

When i watch other people shoot it i can't help but think of that scene in the movie Lord of War, where Nick Cage is watching an insurgent fire a gun, and every time the bolt comes back it makes the 'cha-ching' sound of a cash register. Told the Girlfriend her shots were on me, everybody else--BRING MONEY!

Awesome !! I know the feeling, got my 45, my fiancée can't stand 40, wanted a 380 pistol eventually, I got her the Beretta Nano instead. And she bought me a Mosin Nagant :-)

I got lucky and married a girl that comes from a gun family. Her pistol is a Colt 1911 National Match. She won't shoot much other than 45 when it comes to handguns. Her dad has a 50 that he got for his 50th and she's usually one of the first in line to shoot when it gets pulled out. I love her ;)

My wife and I have this inside joke that when we hit our 10 year anniversary, we are getting a .50bmg Barrett for us lol. Its great to have a spouse that loves to shoot.

I don't have to worry about apologizing all the times I'm at the range.

That's the best. When I have a rough day at work, my wife recommends I go spend some time at the range. It's great.

Mxsailor-you won't be disappointed. The model 99 is awesome. I just couldn't see having a m82, the single shot is hard enough on the pocket book.

The corner of the blanket in the pic is folded up from the blast of the muzzle break. On the next shot I took, I had put on a ball cap because of the sun... lost that when I pulled the trigger,

I had just started dating this woman I met online who, when she found out I was a "gun guy," wanted me to teach her to shoot. We took my Henry lever-action .22 out to the front yard with some subsonic ammo and she was able to "ding" my steel gong on her first try with my H001 outfitted with a tang sight. Needless to say, she became an instant "convert" as she said hitting the gong gave her a "big rush" and we are now "in a relationship" because of all the other fun factors we share. Plinking with .22s in the front yard is one of our regular fun activities now. BTW I'm 65 and my "girlfriend" is a 59 y.o. school teacher in a charter school.

got a savage axis in 223 to teach the gf how to shoot 2 years ago...now she has killed two more deer with it than I have the last 2 seasons (opening day heart shot this year) and she is a better shot than me at the range. Worst part is I can't shoot "her" gun now either!

My now wife, girlfriend at the time, had grown up with brothers who shot and hunted but never had been behind a gun much. She attended a "Handguns for women" class with some of her co-workers and came home and told me that she wanted her own gun. I was ecstatic and could not wait to take her gun shopping! She ended up getting a Walther PK380 which I have to say is a very nice gun and it fits her very well. She loves taking it out to the farm and shooting it. Her birthday is coming up and I got her a 20 gauge 870 so she can shoot clays with her own shotgun and I dont have to give up mine when she stands there just waiting to get her hands on it.

On my first date with my soon to be wife I discovered she was LEO and when I showed her my CCL to show I was a 'solid citizen' it was a spark! Our next date was to the range and it was fantastic to know she was well trained and I didn't have to baby sit. Now if I could just swindle her govt issued HK P2000!

Congrats man, you've found a keeper! I consider myself lucky to be in the same boat. She's 4'10" and 98lbs and shoots my M1A like a champ!

My wife was anti-gun for a while, but has been converted. She now has a Sig p238 for carry and our son shoots competitively. She refers to our garage as out little ammo factory, because I load everything we shoot except for SD rounds.

Lot of good women out there.

Good to see & hear bro.

WE don't have a .50 but my wife does shoot her .45ACP better than I do & even has less trigger time than I do, figure that one out.

Gals tend to adapt to shooting pretty easily. My daughter (19 yrs) who doesn't really care for it,
can out-shoot everyone I know, including me, and she doesn't even practice, go figure! (she's a natural).

Guys with "Shooting Gals" are a lucky breed!! :D

My wife has shot our friend's Armalite .50 a few times on camping trips. Carries one of the empty cases around in her purse. She declined to shoot my AR, though. Not sure why. Maybe I should ask her.

Mainly she likes to shoot my old .38 M&P.

It's great to have things in common! That's a big plus in the pro column...
"only 300 yards"?
Dude, if I am shooting 300 yards, that means I completely overshot my 200 yard target! That rocks.

The funniest part is the look on guys faces when they mention a 50cal and she just shrugs and says 'eh, has less recoil than a 12 gauge'. And she hit the plinker (18x2 steel plate) on her first shot (only 300yds, though)

Nice....she got a sister?
