My first time out shooting and i have some questions.

It's true. A little ear wax on the nose of the bullet helps em fly straighter.:D

When you practice with that rifle, keep in mind that 80% of marksmanship is trigger control. Pay attention to your trigger and you will get better faster.

No one can focus three different point at the same time so it's best to let the target blurr. Remember, the target is stationary and will be there before, during and after the shot. However, the rifle's sights will move so it's important to focus on them. If your sights are sharp and properly lined up your rifle can move within the diameter of the bullseye and you will still hit it. You can gain proper trigger control and sight alignment by dry firing against a blank white wall. Practice holding the rifle the same way for each shot and getting the trigger to release without the sights moving. This is the method that I used when I competed for the Marine Corps.
