My first Ruger revolver since 1984

For me I shoot DA almost exclusively. I can rapid fire .38sp+p into a 4" circle at 7yd no problem. Or at a slightly slower mor deliberate pace I can keep most of them in a 2" circle. It does take a lot of practice along with a smooth action for consistent trigger pull. I think the reason is when shooting DA it eliminates my flinch, whereas in SA I have to concentrate hard to eliminate flinching. Unfortunately as I age my tendency to flinch has gotten worse, probably due to 30+ years of shooting heavy .41 mags. Even heavy .357 mags take some serious concentration on my part. Although the .41 isn't much worse due to the weight of my S&W N-frames. I pretty much restrict my heavy loads to the Henry's nowadays.
