Consensus at TFL?
Is the consensus that a snub 22 is a good first handgun to practice for a larger caliber future piece, instead of a more traditional long barreled 22 to start?
I'm not sure if we ever hit on consensus here at TFL,,,
But that is the advice I give to new shooters.
My rationale is that snubs are more difficult to gain proficiency with,,,
So why use your "cheap practice" money on something different than what you will later carry?
If you are certain that a .38 snubbie will be your future carry gun,,,
And your end purpose for buying a .22 is cheap practice,,,
Why practice with a 4" .22 instead of a snubbie .22?
