"My eyes aren't what they used to be."

Well I inherited my moms macular degeneration. In my right eye now. Taking painful shots in the eyeball to keep it from getting worse. Thank got I have laser on my CCWs. Other wise I have to shoot left handed. Now the Alzheimer's she past with are my next step in 20 years or so, My dad had Parkinson's. Either way...it sucks to get old.

Yes, getting old sucks - but it beats the heck out of the alternative!

I was nearsighted from childhood until about 60 or so; since then my "distance" vision has improved to the point where my dominant eye prescription has no + or -, only cylindrical (astigmatism) correction. And of course the progressive bifocal for reading.

tlm225 is really right - there is often a sweet spot in the progressive that makes the sights clear and the target ok.

I have Shooting/safety glasses with a bi-focal correction at the bottom for reading.

What a pain, when walking a 16 inch plank 40 feet up I have a hell of a time, when shooting handguns I have a hell of a time tilting my headway back to utilize the correction.

Why doesn't anyone manufacture Bi-focal type Safety/shooting glasses with the correction at the top? This would keep me from falling off the plank and keep me from looking at the sky just to access the correction when shooting?

Here ya go, Steve:

I use the stick on bifocals in my standard safety glasses. That way you can position the reading area where ever is best for you.
