My 870 Marine Magnum pics *1st shotgun*

Overman,
I hear what you're saying, and I agree, but at the same time, I think my 870, that came with an 18" bbl and a 2 shot extension, is plenty for HD. "Tricking it out", in my opinion, just makes HD more difficult.

I say invest in some ghost ring sights. My 590-a1 came stock with them and if your going to be shooting rifled slugs they flat out rock! Nice guage.

I did disassemble this already and will soon add a short fore-end to accomodate a 6 shot side saddle...

CAAT1, I'll take that long forend off your hands if you'll sell it for a reasonable price. I picked up an old 870 for a song awhile back, that has the 20" IC barrel with rifle sights. I'm gonna short-stock it to make it more CQB-friendly, but I like the long forend 'cause it let's you 'choke up' on the pump-handle.

Nice scattergun, BTW.

Beautiful gun, but I'd dump that clip on sight unless you think you'll be 'aiming' it, and if you're aiming you'll need something better.. once you learn to point and shoot you won't even look at the sights. Extravagant sights on a shotgun are kind of a newby accessory... unnecessary except for certain specialized purposes.

Here's my Marine Magnum:

I think that would give the perp some cause to pause :D Love that gun.

I bought my MM back in 02' and have shot the crap out it! In the neighborhood of 3500 rounds or more. I tried most of the add on goodies that are out there and ended up going with the same setup as is seen above minus the flashlight. I dont reccomend twin pistol grips or folding stocks. They just dont hold up under firing.
