My 870 Build is Complete: O.D. Cerakote and Trijicon Ghost Rings!!

1. Oversized safety is my next add-on for sure

2. It has A TON of shells through it already.

3. It just got re-finished, so it doesn't take a genius to figure out why it looks so new

4. I built this shotgun for fun... not for home defense.

5. It's one of many firearms in my safe, I use pistols for home defense currently.

6. The shell holder on the stock is going to be removed. The holder is sized for 16 or 20 gauge shells. It's B.S. It's creasing the hulls it's so tight, I don't like it at all. And the "Power Pack" (raised cheek piece) is probably going to have to be removed as it puts you too high to see the sights.

Very nice 870!

Dedicated,

Don't sweat the comments. Some folks don't seem get the concept of doing a build for the fun of it. Many of us would like a BBQ gun (show piece), but not everyone one of us can afford to have one built for us. :)

T191032:

I'm not sweating anything, I don't get too worked up over comments on a forum. I was just throwing in my 2 cents.

Anyways, I didn't have someone build the shotgun...I built it all.....of course, that is with the exception of the Coating and ghost ring sight mounting haha.

It only cost me $200 for the sight mounting and coating..not bad. I don't want to add up what I have invested in the whole package haha... lets see

(These are not all accurate, I can't remember all the exact prices)
Remington 870--------- $350
Knoxx Stock----------- $130
Knoxx Power Pack----- $50
GG&G Sling Hook------ $40
Mesa Saddle----------- $60
Sights + Install......--- $80 + $80
Surefire forend-------- $150
Magpul Rail covers---- $30
Mesa magazine clamp- $60
Streamlight TLR-3------- $100
Tangodown Stubby VFG-- $70
Cerakote------------------ $120

Grand Total.................. $1320 (Roughly)

Ouch. That's not a fun number to end up with!! haha. But I love how she turned out!

It shocks me that people spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars to 'mod' their shotguns, when those hundreds and hundreds of dollars could be put towards lots of ammo and range time, even tactical shooting lessons.

Its a nice shotgun, dont get me wrong, but it just seems like too much. But whatever your heart desires.

when those hundreds and hundreds of dollars could be put towards lots of ammo and range time,

Or my kids college :) gotta send them to school or they will live on the couch forever :)
