Mrs. Bush

:D Did you hear the First Lady's jokes last night? She said she is a Desperate House Wife - in so many words. She said something that come 9:00 PM George is Mr. Excitement. Hmmm maybe someone needs a visit from Bob Dole and get some advice on :D ...........no better not say it. I just found it a funny side I never saw of the first lady. I wonder how the media will work that whole thing come Monday morning? Nice to see she can let her guard down a little and have a few jokes at her hubby. I wonder if that was known prior or if he was a little surprised when she came up with that? Like these 2 or not it is nice to see that they can smile and joke. I can't picture the stress and worry the two of them face.

Personally, I think in private life both are about as normal as can be.
And both have a sense of humor.....I'm certain the perennial smile in Laura's eye's didn't come from a lifetime of negativity and anger. (Did someone just say Theresa?)

Personally, I've always liked them both (though not many of his major decisions as Prez). She's EXACTLY what a US First Lady should be. I only wish he were EXACTLY what a US President should be.

Laura B.

It has been a long time since our White House was graced by such a charming First Lady. My English vocabulary is too
limited to do her justice as to her fine qualities and I feel that the President and the girls are very fortunant to have
her for a wife and Mother. And we to have her as First Lady.

George made an exceptionally good choice for a life mate.

As for being Mr. Excitement after 9 P.M. . If I had as much on my plate as he does I wouldn't be worth a sh*t after 9 A.M let alone P.M. . He has the entire world plus the local Communist party ..... I meant Democrat ..... what the heck they're the same thing , to worry about . If they think he did something wrong they jump on it . If they begrudgingly admit that he did right they whine that he didn't do ENOUGH right . Besides a Library and a book deal that job ain't worth it IMHO .

It all politicking

Of course they want to paint Dubya as a "boring" guy; they need to paint over his past exploits as a coke-sniffing alcoholic.

Where do I get my information? From one of his classmates back at Yale, my neighbor the conservative judge. He confirms that ol' Georgie was both high & drunk every weekend, and often during the week. (Please don't ask me to name names; I don't have the right to publicly tie names to private conversations.) But the man has no motivation to lie about it. This was during last year's campaigning, whereas he expressed his disgust with both Kerry & Bush as being <prostitutes>.

What ever has happened to our government? :barf:

You mean during his college years and whoring days?
Ummmmmm, so was I. Difference between me and most others is I admit it.
:D

Oh my God, a college kid was drunk?

I just don't know what to say. My faith in humanity is shattered. Where does it end? Next you'll be telling me that members of the US armed forces consume more than their fair share of intoxicating beverages!

I think I'll take my pooky bear and go sit in the dandelion patch until the world makes sense again.

Drunk and High in College...and on a school nite, too.
I'm shocked and dismayed. What IS this world coming to?

How many 20 year old, female interns has Bush introduced to the 'Presidential Staff'? How many opponents of his have met with an untimely end under mysteriously murderous circumstances?

What a refreshing sight to have a First Lady with enough grace, charm and self assurance to be able to poke fun at her husband, herself and their circumstance without shrilly whining about 'vast right wing conspiricies'.
What a breath of fresh air.

PS...for those who didn't get it, Hillery Clinton is a whining, back biting, insecure, power grabbing, socialist, humorless bitch.

OMG, now this is funny stuff!! Im laughing as i type. Well, I have always thought of Mrs. Bush a very classy woman, and exactly what a first lady should be. I really like the prez too. I agree with paratrooper that I wouldn't be worth a crap either if i had to do what he does and put up with all that crap. He's 200x's better than what the alternative was. I pray that the world would end before we had another Clinton in the White House.(Hiliary that is) Of course it probably will be the end seeing as she's the Anti-Christ!

[Larry the Cable Guy]Lord, I apologize... [/Larry the Cable Guy] :D

Watched the First Lady's act on C-SPAN this afternoon. A total laugh riot and with such class!

Say it..........

You have to tell us a name for the judge......that is if it is a true statement........and did the good judge drink and party with George too? Nothing is worse than to tell a story and leave out the last 2 pages......Come on everyone is just so wanting to know who your neighbor is or was........ :barf: If it's true we don't even care whom said that to you.....The topic was did you see the little joke stand-up by Mrs. Bush? If so did you think it was funny as I? Sorry it wasn't brought up to bash the guy at the top of the government. Maybe you can start your own post and get the point done there......This one was for a laugh not a smear ;)

Assuming that the story is true, this affects the world how? Seems like Bush has never denied partying, drinking, even doing marijuana. The only thing IIRC he said he didn't do was coke, and the sole source for that claim was a person convicted of soliciting a murder and repudiated by his own publisher after evidence showed he lied through his teeth about various parts of the book.

I also knew a guy who was in the Air National Guard with GW during the Vietnam days when Lloyd Bentson's son was also in the same unit. He said there was plenty of drinking and partying going on in each camp. At least he said GW bought his aircrews plenty of beer too, unlike Bentson's child.

If you can recall the 2000 election, Joe Lieberman was the only person on either ticket who had not seen the inside of a jail cell. Everybody else had been busted for pot, drinking, or a number of things.

Surprise! Dick Cheney also was quite a partier having been thrown out of the UofW for it (he worked as an Electrical Lineman until he got back in a year later).

I still don't get people's obsession with Bush's 'possible' drug use. Or any President's for that matter. Other than the fact that I got a laugh from Clinton's "I didn't inhale" (which actually lowered my opinion of him further than if he had come clean about it), I could care less about what these people did back in college days (unless they were serial rapists or something). I think I'm one of 3 people I know that has never tried ANY type of drug (my dad and a guy I work with are the other two). When I was going for my security clearance, not having tried any type of drug almost got me into more trouble then if I had tried some (since they assume in this day and age that everyone has at least tried a joint).

My point is, if it's something they tried back in the day, big deal! I'm not the most thrilled about it (I worked the counter-narcotics mission out of San Diego), but I don't think it makes them less of a potential leader. Now if it could be proved they had become addicts, or are still using (or had been during their political careers), that's a different story, and one for cause of concern.

Back to Laura Bush. I always cringe when the president, as he did over and over in his news conference last week, refers to the nuclear non proliferation issues with which his administration is grapling as "nu-kya-lur". It just sounds so da*n dumb. So when the First Lady cracked that joke about he this and I that and oh yes, "I can pronounce "nu-klee-er", my wife and I practically fell out of bed! The audience howled! What a pro she is. Intelligent, witty, beautiful, and a total Mom!

What ever has happened to our government?

I have heard from a former classmate of George Washington's that he used to chug intoxicants on school nights also. I am not naming names. Don't ask.

Seriously, do you really think that the founding fathers didn't have thier indiscretions? The main difference was that Americans were too preoccupied with surivival to care. Also, the 24 hour news media makes stories of things that are not. Even during the 1960's, the media would not report on JFK's indiscretions.

The government is run by people. People are fallible. To expect anything less is to set yourself up for disappointment. That is not to say that character and morality don't matter--they are the most important qualities of a leader. That is simply to say that no one is perfect, and people can change. Whether GWB drank or experimented with drugs in college does not mean that he does so now. It does not mean that he is not fit to hold office. How many of us have done things that we wouldn't have wanted on the front page of the New York Times?

I haven't either!

I know what you mean. I was speaking with a Navy recruiter. He asked me if I had ever tried any illegal substances. I told him that I had not. He said, "you know marijuana is an illegal substance." I repeated that I had not. He looked at me funny the rest of the interview. I could tell he thought I was lying the whole time.

Oh, horror of horrors!!!

"W" consumed that demon liquor and dared to lay with ivy league harlots during his college days??

WE MUST ALERT THE CHURCH ELDERS!!!

Our nation shall surely burn in hell now!!
