Burris Fast Fire is the Bomb !
I mounted a new Burris Fastfire (Gen one) on my Colt MKIV Ser 70 in 9mm running a pretty average load -3.9gr Win 231 w/a 124 Gr bullet- that chrony'd around 1090 fps.
First, I wasn't thrilled Burris charged me around $40 for the 'correct' rear dovetail mounting plate after paying more than $200 for it. The mounting was simple enough but the elevation adjustment screw became loose in the threads after just a few turns-and no, I did not have the Allen screws tightened.
After only 50 rounds, I removed it, and was not happy to find the slide had been marred by insufficient coverage of the rubber mounting membrane. Also, no auto-off/on feature and a pain to replace the battery.
I will replace it with a Leupold Deltapoint.
