I was just curious as to what everyone though the most mentioned firearm on The Fring Line was? Regardless of type of firearm (rifle/shotgun/handgun); What make/model do you think is the most popular among TFL members?

Glock 26? SIGs?

Rich would have to run a perl script to scan all DBs, but it would
probably be a hefty hit on system performance. I could probably
implement it, but I'm not a really elegant perl programmer, and my
code reflects this. ;)

It has to be Glock. The Glockheads seem to yip and yap like a pack of chihuahuas. Everywhere about everything and how it relates or compares to a Glock. I've owned one and I dont get what all the fuss is about they're ugly and no more or less reliable than any good quality gun.

I agree with Gonzo, but for different reasons. Glocks are the most frequently mentioned becasue of the members who love them and the members who hate them.

I'm doing my best to make it S&W revolvers, but I'm being outdistanced by the tactical tupperware crowd. :)

Smith & Wesson is dead to me.

If you want a Smith & Wesson, buy USED!

Yip, yap, *yowza!* is that G29 loud!

I talk about my HK P7M8, no comments, "Ooh! Nice gun!".

I talk about my 625, no comments, "Ooh! Nice gun!".

I talk about my Tomcat, my Vaquero, my AK, ditto. The many AR's, 1911's, Colt wheelguns, SIG's, Tauri, leverguns, surplus rifles,Rugers and others I've owned, ditto.

I talk about my Glocks and I'm a brainwashed non-gun-savvy member of the Collective HiveMind.

Go figger...

Don't worry, Tamara. It's just that aircraft carrier flight deck-like aiming surface on the Glocks that most of us could never get used to. Plus the lousy triggers. Plus, they are so wide that you can park a Suzuki Samurai on one, forget about readily concealed. Plus, what the heck kinda name is Glock, anyway. Sounds like a wet bug hitting the windshield. Or half of something that Alpine musicians play.

I think the company name Smith & Wesson probably comes up more than any other. Both regarding their guns and now the agreement. I doubt there would be any specific model. 1911's are probably second with Glock's coming in third.
......of course I cold be wrong. ;)

I apologize Tamara for painting with so broad a brush however, I think we've all read a thread or two that had an off topic GLock comment thrown in for no logical reason other than to "Yip and Yap"

1911's or SIG's or S&W revolvers.

IF you're not willing to die for your rights/beliefs, don't try to take mine.

1911's, I would say, with Glock stuff a close second.

Both engender the same passionate debate with no substantive outcome as the old PC / Mac or vi / emacs wars of yore.

The Beretta crowd is quiet...The Sig-Sauer crowd is quiet...The Ruger crowd is quiet...The S&W crowd is quiet...The CZ crowd is quiet...Etc, etc,...The Glock crowd is loud and obnoxious! That's why we here from them so much...

Funny, every mention of Glock on this thread, save one or two, has been from an avowed non-Glocker...

Hark! Is that yapping I hear? ;)

If I had never owned a Glock I agree with you- It would be yapping- But after owning three I'd call it learning from experience...
