Mossberg Patriot

Reloader, I used the hornady 200 grain sst's this year. Only shot 1 small buck with it at exactly 100 yards. It was a front chest shot and needless to say it was DRT. I had alot of trouble finding a accurate load for my 338 and had to get up to 250 grains to do it.

I have no problem with further discussion of the patriot rifle.

You can find starting loads for the 200 grain bullet in the .338WM that are equal to 338-06 loads. - About right for deer or pigs without unnecessary recoil.

This assumes that you are a reloader. - Look it up in a loading manual.

With a magnum cartridge and medium game, reduced or starting loads are your friend.
