Mosin Nagant vs Concrete!

Thanks! The muzzle energy of these brown bear 174gr FMJ bullets is about 2600 ft lbs coming out of the Mosin Nagant.

Concrete is built for compressive strength but if you've ever broken up an old foundation with a sledgehammer you realize it ain't peanut brittle. Cool video.

I found a similar one online with a 50 bmg. The concrete explosion wasn't that much different except you could hear pieces of concrete falling from the sky for 6 seconds.

I love the fact that there are people out there who shoot at concrete with old Russian surplus rifles BECUASE THEY CAN!!! It's one of the reasons I get up in the morning!

Yep. a HIGH POWER assault rifle... Every time I hear the media use this expression I just cringe.
 
Thanks for watching guys, glad you liked the video! As to the strength of the concrete I have no idea, I found a bunch of these concrete cylinders on my property and figured what better use than to blow them to bits!
 
Believe it or not an 80 gr FMJ out of a .243 Win. is just as impressive against concrete and rock. A 300 Win Mag turns concrete into a mixture of gravel and a dust cloud that just hangs around.
