Mosin Nagant vs 5 Gallon Water jug!

Nice video, i was looking at the Mosin but I got an SKS instead. How accurate is your Mosin-Nagant ? I've never shot one but i've heard it kicks like a mule. I like collecting the older antiques.
 
I got lucky and got a pretty accurate mosin nagant. I'm able to hit a 1 gallon jug at 400 yards or hit a steel plate 16" x 20" at 600 yards using iron sights. This thing DOES KICK like a mule, but after putting a limbsaver on it I could shoot it all day if I had to. I'd still suggest getting a mosin nagant next time your shopping for a new gun, nothing beats the old bolt action strait up power cartridge! Thanks for watching my video!
 
M-N are FUN!

I have the Model44 and it is a blast. Of course, I couldn't handle the metal buttplate. I changed it for the padded one designed for Mosin-Nagant rifles, for around $20. It feels fine now.

I still thought it was bad, until I FINALLY got my 870 SuperMagnum shotgun out, and fired some 3" and 3.5" shells through it, at around 1500fps.

After THAT kick, the M-N [with padded buttplate] feels like my Mini-14 does if all I've fired was the M-N.

If someone complains about the M-N's kick, have them shoot a magnum round through a 3.5" 12 gauge and they'll back down about the M-N.

Thanks guys, had a real good time! Ozzieman, the camera is a 720p hd camera that I picked up on ebay for $10. The lcd screen is cracked and only half the screen shows anything, works for stuff like this!
