Mosin Nagant Video Recoil Challenge

I don't think I'll be joining the challenge, even with a rubber butt pad on my mosin I got a small bruise on my shoulder from shooting just 5 PPU 150 grain SP's prone.

neither of my mosins are accurate enough to do that, 200 yards is about the max that I can hit oxy tanks at my range with. my Arisaka 44 hits them out to 400 and I'm sure if I got the holdover just right I could nail the 550 yard(my range max) without much difficulty. my other guns are all pretty bad. I doubt I could do much past 200 with any of them.

They don't have to be that accurate, the NRA LR target is a 6' square, with pretty generous scoring rings:

You don't have to be contending for a win to go shoot and have fun. I shot a 271-4X out of a possible 400. The match winner shot a 382 7X with a Swedish M41b Mauser. I was certainly toward the bottom, but I wasn't last. Most importantly I had fun.

As to the challenge, some people tolerate recoil better than others. Some of that is physiology, some of it is technique, some of it is experience.

I don't think I am more manly than someone else because my Mosins don't bother me, and I certainly don't feel the need to make a video to prove it.
