Model 54 Winchester ??

Thanks for the info....very interesting!!! I sent the link to my father-in-law and he's getting a kick out of the history behind the gun. He did ,however, correct me :o and said the gun was for his daughter not the grand-kids. He gave guns to each of his three kids.

Thanks for the pics -remchester- those two-way sights look pretty cool. Can you still get them?

I took a few more pics, but I ain't no photographer. The one is a picture of the insert -PaulB- sent me (I mean my wife :rolleyes:) for the peep sight.

The insert is fine for sighting in or target shooting ! You'll want to take it out for hunting , because it restricts light , especially in low light situations !
