I've got a 4" Model 19 of late 1960s vintage. I believe it to have been a former police gun.
I don't know how many rounds were through it before I bought it, but a LOT would be a good way of putting it.
Since then I've put quite a few thousand rounds of full-bore .357 and a few thousand more of .38 Spl. through it.
It's still operating fine, and the timing is solid, but the endshake is getting pretty extreme, and I'm going to need to either use bushings or stretch the crane to take care of that problem.
