Hey drinks, while you're at it, will you do me a favor and express your disgust at not having more dark beers? I mean, c'mon. Tell them to come out with something that'll put some hair on people's chests...

"No, Tim. There's not another link. But you could search and find one and post it here."

No, Bud. I have searched, and I can't find a link by anyone who doesn't have an agenda one way or the other. Why don't *you* search and post a link?

Tim

I have no idea how to post a link.
The article by Malkin referenced in the first post seems informative.
The Chicago Tribune is supposed to have a story on this subject.
The Site, "NumbersUSA" , has more on it, too.

Okay, Tim. I don't have any idea about finding one without an agenda. I haven't seen one of those in a long time. These days when some one says they would like to find an impartial source of information, they usually mean they want one that agrees with them. I don't really know your leanings, so I don't have any idea what to go get for you and bring here. Can any one else help Tim?

Here's one, Tim: http://www.law.com/jsp/dc/PubArticleDC.jsp?id=1090180441237

Hello out there from Miller Land.Milwaukee just had the honor bestowed upon them as the,"Drunkist City in the USA" To top that off Madison or Liberalville Midwest, has a university considered not for its academics but for partying."Kegs" Lautenshlager, the state attorney general and a lot of politicians have been nailed for DWI.Binge drinking is one the states sports. So ,no boycott will work here.I'm disgusted with Miller, but then,I don't partake of the bubbly.Beer or wine.Medication would react with the booze.

To Ruger4570

I have never figured out why a "business" would take a political stand on anything.. You have to know you will pizz off someone and be blackballed and boycotted....

I have always wondered the same thing, corporations always have their grubby fingers in government, many companies lobby the people who should be working for US, not them.

Corporate America owns our government, they want slave labor and uneducated consumers therefore they love the illegal trade. The middle-class continues to be moved out and in time we will have a rich/poor society.:(

Getting slightly off topic...
There seemed to be alot of dark beer fans... So if you REALLY want a smooth uber-dark beer, i have to recommend samuel smith oatmeal stout. Any oatmeal, actually. Sometimes guiness seems just a little to heavy... Oatmeals have all the flavor, while being smooth and light.

hoji...

I'm with you on that one in the sense that the Republican and Democrats are same face on a coin. They're BS anyway, it's been like that for too long.

As an FYI - Re:Guiness.
I personally knew a past president of 3 of their brewery's.
Related by marriage as a matter of fact...

He was extremely anti gun & he was extremely well connected politically in all three countries where the brewery's were located:
- Ireland
- South Africa
- Austrailia.

The private ownership of firearms in all three of those locations has been discussed often. There's little doubt in my mind that with his considerable political sway, he had a lot to do with pushing an anti gun policy.

Just thought I'd mention that.
Sometimes it not the company itself , but the officers of the company that steer politics..

Not that I'm defending Miller in any way. Their corporate stance on gun control has been documented before.

ugh..no thanks.

guinness on tap, murphy's, or shiner, even fat tire ...mmmm

amber ales/lagers and stouts, for teh win. Miller and Bud are both watered down moose piss.

I see we're discussing our favorite beers and not the support of Miller Brewing or illegal immigration. A thread continuing like this won't last long.
Y'all were warned.
