Read here how Miller Brewing has supplied $30,000 to fund a Chicago demonstration in support of illegal immigration.

I could live without all of them except the Weinhard, and I wish to GOD my mom would stop drinking the Wilwaulkee's beast. I keep telling her that it's 'ghetto' and she might as well drink a 40oz. It's almost embarrasing.

Since moving to arizona I've become the regular 'turd in a punch bowl', since I'm pretty much the lone white guy in a predominantly hispanic family...and the one thing I've noticed is that they LOVE their bud light. Children's birthday parties, family get-together's, whatever. Bud light. Maybe Anheiser busch should spend a little too, let their consumers know they love them too. I also get to say 'beaner' without fear of repercussion. I knocked one up, therefore I have the right to call them whatever I want  Beaner beaner beaner.

And on an unrelated note, most mexican taco stands have the coldest beer ever. Colder than any 'gringo' joint I've ever been to...

Are you going to boycott taco bell too charlie?

I was surprised to see how long that list was, then I remembered Miller was owned by South African Breweries. I don't drink any of their stuff, anyway. Mostly watery poop.

EMB, you got that right. Every weekend, my back yard is littered with Bud Light empties, courtesy of the neighbors. They never thank me for cleaning up after them, either.

Back on topic: Shiner Bock = yum.

Ewww... Miller...

Sorry, not to bash any of you beer drinkers, but I can't stand mass market cat pee like Miller, Budweiser, etc.:barf: :barf: :barf: I prefer a much more manly beer like Guiness! (Medium rare sirloin and Guiness = incredible combination) So uh... just to be safe... who's all for drinking better beer?! Oh by the way, I DO like American beers made in Boulder, Colorado.

Shiner bock-awesome
Guinness? I thought that WAS combination of steak and beer. I'm not there yet but I'm working my way up (baby steps). You can't just rush headlong into dark beers, you've gotta ease your way up the list, culminating in enjoying Guinness. (btw, didja know that Guinness is the only beer who's carbination bubbles go from top to bottom instead of bottom to top?)

Jerimiah Red, courtesy of Bj's brewery, is the most awesome tasty, heavy beer ever. It's a light red color and at over 7% will glue you to your barstool. It'd better though, at 12 bux a pitcher...But I highly recommend it if you've got the means. :D

Bah! Guiness ain't got nothin' on the Tatanka Stout from BJ's brewery. That stuff is pureed buffalo poo mixed with a little sand, burnt for flavor and put in your glass.

I like guiness, but BJ's Tatanka Stout is just flat-out mean.

Favorite beer: 2. Both from Deschutes Brewery... Mirrorpond and Obsidian Stout.

I stay away from all Miller stuff anyways, since they are foreign. With Deschutes, I have family who live a couple miles from the brewery in Bend, Oregon. I'm good with that.

I believe that jerimiah red has I higher alcohol content than tatonka stout (or the other stout, but one of them). And it goes down smoother...but like I said: Baby steps...baby steps..

And the sad thing is that after visiting Baton Rouge for a little while, there isn't ANYTHING over there with a little character. It's all big 6 brands in every bar in town...Not like tucson, where there's something different at every one. God I love beer!

Joke for ya'll. What's Budweiser and making love in a canoe have in common? They're both F'n near water. :D

Good luck finding a bar with none of those on tap.

I did not realize that steel reserve or icehouse was a miller product. There is one thing that all those beers have in common:they are my second choice next to Budweiser.

Before this gets closed, may I suggest Evil Eye. It is a 40 ouncer that weighs in at 10%. The plus is that it does not taste bad.

Good thing for me I'm already on a boycott of Miller products (in that I hardly ever even drink beer, and when I do it's none of those).

My preferences are for Newcastle Brown Ale, Harp, Guinness, when I drink beer.

Hey, Coinneach, do you get to redeem a nickel deposit on those empties your neighbor chucks over? That'd be okay with me then. :D

I see we're discussing our favorite beers and not the support of Miller Brewing or illegal immigration. A thread continuing like this won't last long.

Esquire M Busterbury...

hilarious joke about the Budweiser and canoe, too bad you're telling the truth.:D I've had Karma which is a Boulder brewed beer with spices in it. Very tasty, I also like Smithwick's. So it seems a good number of us here don't like Miller to begin with, that's good, now let's all make sure we support quality over quantity, good to see people who know what real beer is. Remember everyone, drink responsibly, and shoot safely, and NEVER mix alcohol and firearms! Because lead and brass in your beer can ruin the taste.(There that should keep this thread going.:D )

Miller and Miller products are now on my no-no list, thanks for posting the list.
Only about 10 or so are available here, this is the real backwoods.
I have been keeping it Texan for 50 years, went Lone Star until the furriners in WA state bought it, then went to the products of Spotzel's brewery, in Shiner, starting when you had to be within 2 hours drive of Shiner to even find it.
Do have a critisism of Shiner, though, Bock is supposed to be represented by a goat, the current boxes show a ram, not a buck, do you suppose Shiner has hired some Yankee city types to design their containers? :D

I have never figured out why a "business" would take a political stand on anything.. You have to know you will pizz off someone and be blackballed and boycotted....

Today, I called the following numbers and expressed my disgust with Miller and their foreign owners for interfering in the internal politics of another country.
You may have to wait until Tuesday to get a live person, now.
414-931-2000, home office in Milwaukee.
817-551-3300, press #1 gives list of depts., this is for Texas.
:barf: :D

Is there another link that gives more complete coverage of the story? I can't really tell what is going on from the out-of-context clips and articles posted.
