Militias; the forbiden topic?

Ok... Most of the militia Members I have met are a bunch of Racist, Goverment hating, Uneducated Morons. They seemed to me to hate anything that they did not control. If we had a revolution tommorrow and won. Put in a new goverment that Was paradise, these people would feel the same way about it.
Most these people had no Idea what the fight was really about. And the ones that did are more of a hinderance than a hlp to us. They spout thier antigoverment Retoric and never for a moment think before they speak.
One will always stick out in my mind because he said that we should kill them all. When I asked him who the all was he said anyone who has anything to do with the goverment or agrees with them. I told him to get off my property and that if he ever came back I would greet him with my Rem 870. Another said that he could live with the goverment the way it is if we could deport or kill everyone that was not a PURE american. Now you tell me. What the hell is a pure American. I am German and Irish. But I consider myself a pure American. My best friend is a Black man with a little Scottish in him. He is more American than most people I know. It could have something to do with the fact that he is a Marine and would die to protect every person here.
The problem is not the Militia movement. he problem is that the movement has people like this in it.
 
I'm with Kevin. The militia members I've come across, (a lot of them in Texas) are ignorant in the extreme. Some even go so far as to manufacture their own vehicle plates on shoebox cardboard. It's a bunch of juveniles in cammo. Nothing more. Most of them would be hard pressed to run across a parking lot without having to slow to a walk. That does not mean they're not dangerous to you, but on an individual basis, like a rabid dog. They have no concept of training beyond the movies, On an actual tactical level a platoon of basic trainees could take on a hundred of them. the REAL folks are quiet, discreet, well trained, calling no attention to themselves. They don't call themselves Militia, and they darn sure don't wear cammo. Most police officers have put together such groups, centered around their friends and family. One group of which I am familiar has 6 effectives, All police and Ex-infantry. If they had to pick a most likely enemy, it would probably be the visible militia.
 
The most visible militia groups, at least here in NC, tend to be white racist organizations, some with formal ties to the KKK. Many are anti-immigrant (which around here means they hate Mexicans). I don't see myself as having anything in common with these groups.

That said, there are, as others have observed, quiet groups of decent law-abiding people who would be willing to stand up and defend this country and the rights of everyone if it came time to do so. We'd see these people out in abundance if the UN takeover or the Chinese invasion or whatever the conspiracy boards are bleating about this month actually came to pass.

The type of people you speak of are followers. They take orders. They couldn't "think" themselves out of the insecure paper bag they reside in. He has no more control of himself than a senile old man with a poor bladder. He has no clue of what we face, or who our enemies really are. He assumes the role of the ignorant masses. He represents no one but himself.

The "inevitable" that we will soon face will be unlike anything America has experienced in its short history. It will not require "millions" to get the job done. It simply requires those who are willing to fight for what's deep inside their hearts to do what needs to be done.

Guys like the one you mentioned will not participate, for inside their hearts lies nothing but fear and hate. By the time he realizes what's happening, it will all be over.

Those Americans, who know who you are...

It is FREEDOM that drives you. Your passion and love for it will cause you to do what needs to be done. And you already know what needs to be done.

I left the active forces some years ago and have left the reserve forces about 5 years ago…for a total of 23 1/2 years. In all my time in, I was ALWAYS taught, the active force were only the FIRST force, not the PRIMARY force. I was also taught that , once you became a Reservist/Guardsman, your roll had become a “Citizen/soldier”, and you must carry your professionalism with you as you are now the primary force. I know that times have changed and so has the view from the top as to the roll of the Reservist/Guardsman.

Now the people perceive the active forces as “professional” & “Primary” in all things that pertain to warfare.

My state still reguards the "unorganized militia" as all of us who are not now associated with the active/reserve/NG forces of the federal government. The state does not currently have an 'organized militia', it relies on the reserve/Ng forces to fill this roll. HOWEVER, the state constitution has a very well defined and has active statues to turn the 'unorganized militia' into the 'organized militia' at the stroke of the governors pen.

In parting, IMHO the difference between a "Militiaman" as it once defined, and "the militia" as it is now perceived, was once explained to me as the difference between "Quiet Professionalism" of a active soldier & a civilian/soldier & " B**ls**t Bravado" of a "wanna bee".....

The United States Code is very clear on what is the "organized" and "unorganized" militia and who is obligated to serve.
See 10USC Chap. 13 sec. 311(b)(1)&(2):
(a)The militia of the United States consists of all able bodied males at least 17 years of age and, except as provided in section 313 of title 32, under 45 years of age who are, or who have made a declaration of intention to become, citizens of the United States and of female citizens of the United States who are members of the National Guard.
(b) The classes of the militia are,
(1)the organized militia, which consists of the National Guard and the Naval Militia; and
(2)the unorganized militia which consists of the members of the militia who are not members of the National Guard or the Naval Militia.

denfoote, see above. It's 45 not 35. Also, if you are prior service, the age of obligation goes up to 63. See 10USC Chap.3 Sec.313(a)

Once upon a time, the term "militia" was revered, respected, and meant the same as pride, devotion to country, and maintenance of liberty. Today however, the leftist controlled; media, educational system, and government has all but made the term "militia" a dirty word. Today, it conjures up thoughts of racism, bubbas, cults, and hate.

So what do patriots do? They ADAPT! They let the propagandists spin their web of deceit and lies. They let what's left of the "organizied militias" go on getting all the attention, ensuring that those groups are thoroughly watched over by Big Brother insiders. Since these "organizations" freely allow infiltrators in to sound the supposed alarm when and if it ever rings, they deserve what they are getting. And all the while, patriots go unnoticed, get no attention, and continue to prepare and plan for the inevitable.

For you federal lurkers...

Use all the techno-geeks you can muster to try and figure out what you will be up against. You will be identifying your next door neighbor, your father-in-law, your physician, your UPS delivery person, your kid's gym coach, the county sheriff, half the traders on Wall Street, countless white, blue, and pink collar workers, and many, many military veterans. How do you stop them? You can't! Remember, you have been following the orders of tyrants. That makes you no better than the tyrants themselves.

As was mentioned in another post, probably my biggest problem with "the militia" I've been exposed to are the people.

I have no use for biggots and those fanatical about anything

I to have met several wannabe "revolutionists". Most are simply after attention.

Paul's statements are quite correct, I will hone my skills, learning new ones while I wait... My only wish is that my sacrifice will mean something.
