Military Call-up for Oct 15.

Can anyone confirm this? From a thread on another board...October has been popping up a lot lately-even in the press. We call it the 'October Surprise'.

For what it's worth...

A regular caller to the Mark Koernke program tonight said that he had the same information from two sources. They told him about a "for your eyes only" type of document that stated...

All field grade officers under the age of 60 were to report for duty on the 15th of
October.

That's all that was said. Anyone hear anything else like this?

Reply: Alex Tonight The fellow who called in to Koernke earlier, also called in to Alex Jones tonight. He said his source of info was someone in the Pentagon.
He said all field grade officers under the age of 60 will be activated and told to
report to different areas.
This fellow questioned his "source" (as I understood him) what executive order or presidential decision/directive or law/ruling was at play here and the guy said
"number 25." I think Alex said "martial law." Alex also said he could confirm what the caller was saying because he had confirmed it earlier in the day with Captain Joyce Riley. Does anyone know what the number 25 pertains to? Is it martial law?
Agree, M*****, there's a lot of important items on the board tonight.

Before anyone gets into a lather about this, I suggest that everyone check to see how many Y2K supplies they still have left ... ;) ;)

April Fools .. Give me another break. October surprise is a definite, but it will take the form of Clinton claiming that the Republicans are shutting down the government because of their unwillingness to compromise on the budget and Gore letting a few damning things out the back door with regards to George W's wilder days.

Martial law..Even Clinton doesn't have balls big enough for that one.

I dunno...Ive been thinking something would be happening this Oct military wise.

For some reason China is always sticking in my mind in that timeframe as well. Taiwan could also be thrown in the mix.

Guess we will have to keep ears and eyes open as I think SOMETHING big will have to happen before Clinton is booted out the back door.

I think he does, but that's not the real issue. The real issue is, does he have enough brains to realize what the result will be?

As much as I dislike certain people, I find this scenario highly unlikely.

However.. I suppose I do have 2000rnds of 9mm brass that could get polished and loaded.

So what is Clinton going to do with a bunch of Fat, out of condition , out of the loop Majors and Colonels.

The military can't get enough privates to dig sufficient latrines for them to function properly.

Honestly, these conspiracy theories are getting better and better.

I bet most of those officers don't even have proper uniforms.

Now if they call up former company grade officers, I still have my steel pot and entrenching tool. But I got rid of my uniforms years ago, they shrank too much in storage!

Let's face it. There is a real chance the democrats are looking political exile squarely in the face. They could walk out of the election in Nov with NO power base in DC. Since these people (and republicans for that matter) are in politics for power, they will not sit passively while they are exiled.

I see them doing everything possible to screw up the republican's chances at any and all levels in the election. I can see these people manipulating all sorts of events to demonstrate how dangerous it is to elect republicans. Gov't shutdown is merely one phase. I can see a national emergency ranging from an international crisis (why are the Chinese in Sudan) to Taiwan to a domestic terrorist event to another natural disaster. I can see an attempt to tank the stock market which would bring people to the streets.

I think our nation is faced with a truly dangerous mixture of people and events. One party faces political exile. We have an administration devoid of morality, ethics, or respect for constutional law. We have a president destined to face criminal and civil legal action after leaving office. An array of laws have been passed by a variety of congress' which grant the chief executive extraordinary powers in times of national emergency (the determination of which is in the president's hands). Members of congress are either scared of the polls and public opinion or they are under blackmail. Finally, we have a dominant press that servies as a ministry of propaganda for the administration.

Will we have an October surprise? Oh yea! And it'll be a doozy.

The only way I see anything like this happening is if the Emerson case got on the fast track to the SC adn they ruled in favor of the Government. At that point they would have no choice but to call up the military.

I think this is the usual nonsense from the usual pack of tinfoil-wearers, but I do in fact expect a military-related surprise for October: To protect the Gore Campaign, I mean the children, Clinton will bomb another aspirin factory or will suddenly discover a Scud site in Iran or Iraq that needs an airstrike. We're already getting signals about this in Gore's recent efforts to pretend that he supports a strong military.

At a thread at another board someone said that reno takes control of the military then by E.O. signed in Feb
of this year.

I couldn't tell from just looking.
I couldn't read them. You need a
acrobat reader and webtv is not
capable.

Here is the E.O. link I posted there. If you are interested.

I'd like to see if its true.

No response from the other board yet. So that could mean something.

I think Slick Willy is bucking for some kind of U.N. post...preferably something that provides a steady diet of young interns.

He's not gonna pull this crap - it would sink Hillary, Gore, and his "legacy".

I agree with other members, one Y2K was enough for me.

If the Republicans win in November, watch for this same stuff to pop up re: Willie won't relinquish control, etc. etc.

As mentioned earlier, go back and look at all the dire Y2K predictions that never panned out.

Remember the one about truck loads of
"Martial Law in effect" signs? Maybe they're parked somewhere, waiting for November.

I seriously doubt this. I am a retired regular field grade officer -- as a matter of statute, retired regular officers remain in the Navy, although on the "retired list" -- under age 60. In the 11+ years since I retired, there has never been a general recall. I suspect the costs and logistics associated with one would be prohibitive.

One of the reasons i posted this was because I know there are more LEO's and Military here than the other place.

I've no idea if this is a fact about the call-up, and it sounds like it may not be by the answers here-that's a good thing, right?

OTOH-I was a 'Doomer'/Survivalist long before computers hit the desktop and long before Y2K was ever thought about. I still am-a personality disorder perhaps, but it kept me alive when I was homeless and being homeless, blind and diabetic aint no 'camping trip'.

Prepping is my hobby. Don't wanna prep? Don't. Don't wanna worry? Don't. But it gives me something to do in my off hours. :)

FWIW, here is what I found out. Seems this E.O. has to do with domestic terrorism and FEMA type situations.
