Michael "stinky" Moore sued by Iraq war vet

Moore is just another traitor from the 60's who is in charge now. I am against the Iraq war, I think it was fraudulent, I think it was unConstitutional, I feels sorry for the men over there who are being used not only there but all across the globe in "nationabuilding" projects, but Moore and the likes of him are just scum who don't like Bush because he is a "Republican." They have no true principles of their own, they are just anti-everything establishment

Wow Doug.

I agree with you totally with everything except calling him and his kind "anti-everything establishment". I would think that those people are more of the "self-serving, attention seeking, trying to create an issue" person myself.

I would appreciate Mr. Moore and his kind a lot better if they were able to express an actual REASON why or why not. I don’t buy the argument that someone is bad “just because they are a ……” .

I also hate it when people use extremes to argue a point; e.g. “This country will collapse into ruin and your children will starve if ‘blank’ is re-elected” or “The use of the free golf clubs by Senator Sumbitch was disgusting and morally reprehensible”.

That is good stuff. It is about time mickey moron got what's coming. If you ever get the chance read the book "Michael Moore is a Big fat Stupid White Man." They go into detail on how he fakes scenes and edits people words to make them say the exact opposite thing.

I am suprised that the NRA did not sue him for making them out to be racists.

Any lawyers out there have any thoughts about gun owners filing a class action suit for defamation of character?

There is an old saying: What goes around, . . . comes around.

Whether it is this event, . . . or one 20 years from now, . . . one of these days something will come up ol' Michael's drive way and park at his door. Things won't be so good then.

Just remember old Hitler, . . . from Dec of 1941 until the Russians found him dead in his bunker in the spring of '45 was only 3 years and a few months, . . . but for him, . . . knowing it was coming, . . . it was nothing short of 3 x 365 and a few more days of living hell knowing he was done.

Same is coming to Moore and all of his peers.:D

May God bless,
Dwight

I merely report the facts...

Moore is such a scumbag.
That doesn't even begin to cover it.

Michael Moore is a multimillionaire many times over - why? Because he was fortunate enough to be born in the United States of America - the very nation he works day and night to drag through the mud and destroy.

Make no mistake: Not only does he hate George W. Bush and every conservative in America, he hates America. He hates what America stands for. He hates the Constitution and Bill of Rights. He loves socialism. He loves everything socialism stands for. All one has to do to verify this is look at his words and deeds.

Michael Moore is nothing more than a parasite; he makes himself rich off of America's free enterprise system and contributes absolutely nothing of value to make America a better and stronger nation.

Persons of his ilk do not deserve the blessing of being a citizen of this nation. They are not worthy to live under the Stars and Stripes, plain and simple.

Michael Moore turns my stomach. I hold him in the same regard that I do the terrorists, traitors and parasites who are his soulmates.

Think I'm being mean? Actually, I'm not - I cleaned it up quite a bit.:D

Well, like it or not, he's got a right to say what he wants to say. Breathing violence under one's breath or labeling him as a traitor unworthy of the country because he's exercising his 1st Amendment rights is a bit silly, especially when coming from people who like the 2nd Amendment very much and decry infringements on it. The same right that allows him to spew that which he spews is the same right that allows others to criticize what he spews. However, his use of somebody else's words may not be protected, so it will be interesting to see if the courts find merit in the suit.

I hate to say it, but there is no legal requirement, Constitutional or otherwise, requiring American citizens to love their country. Frankly, I don't think Moore particularly hates America any more than any other self-promoting critic 'hates' America, I just think he's a bit misguided and simplistic in how he voices his displeasure with some aspects of American life, just like I think many other self-promoting critics are. He doesn't seem to like Bush much, though; of course, he's not exactly alone in that regard.

Leif,

No one has challenged the fact that Moore has 1A rights which grant him the opportunity to speak as he wishes.

The less than favorable opinions of Moore are not due to Moore using his 1A rights. It's due to the content of speech employed whilst exercising the 1A rights.

We're well aware he has the right to say it, but we don't have to like what is said. Can't you see the difference?

So... why'd you feel the need to put forth a 1A reminder?

This is why:

Whether it is this event, . . . or one 20 years from now, . . . one of these days something will come up ol' Michael's drive way and park at his door. Things won't be so good then.

Just remember old Hitler, . . . from Dec of 1941 until the Russians found him dead in his bunker in the spring of '45 was only 3 years and a few months, . . . but for him, . . . knowing it was coming, . . . it was nothing short of 3 x 365 and a few more days of living hell knowing he was done.

Same is coming to Moore and all of his peers.

And this:

Persons of his ilk do not deserve the blessing of being a citizen of this nation. They are not worthy to live under the Stars and Stripes, plain and simple.

Michael Moore turns my stomach. I hold him in the same regard that I do the terrorists, traitors and parasites who are his soulmates.

Those get pretty close to saying that he shouldn't be speaking at all. Maybe I overstated my case or jumped to an improper conclusion, but that was what I took away from those statements.

I do see the distinction that you made, and support it the same. It's similar to the point that I made.

Sorry, Leif. With regard to the first quote, I tend to ignore anything with the words Hitler and/or Nazi. I see how you may have drawn that conclusion now.

With regard to the second quote; that type of remark can come from the same emotions found in a father contemplating the pleasure of booting his unruly 17yr old son out of the home because the son does not respect nor understand why he's able to have such a care free existance.

Now, please don't take that statement too literally. I highly doubt that the person you've quoted loves Michael Moore like a son. ;)

Even worthless parasites have a right to exsist

I hate to give Leif's pontifications even the hint of validity by responding, but I will. I never said Michael Moore did not have the right to spew his America hating venom - he has every right to regurgitate the smallminded hatred and bile that fills his distended gut.

Neither did I say someone should hunt him down and kill him - even a maggot like him has a right to exsist.

However, I make no apologies for saying that he is unworthy to live under the Stars and Stripes and to incur the blessings that come with being a citizen of this nation.

Mickael Moore is the walking definition of "smallminded, ungrateful parasite."

Hee hee, probably not. More like a landlord trying to evict a noxious tenant. :D

You're probably right to ignore the Nazi-citers, too.

The problem I have with the latter quotation, though, is the categorization of Moore with traitors, terrorists, and parasites. Now, parasites has no meaning in law, at least as I understand it, but traitors and terrorists, the alleged "soulmates" of the individual in question, are clearly definable as criminal elements. Steelheart of course did not say outright that Moore is a criminal for the activities in which he engaged. However, his categorization of Moore with traitors and terrorists, i.e., with criminals, based on their dislike of America and its policies, leads to a very strong implication that Moore is a criminal, or at the very least acting in a criminal fashion, because of the hatred of America he supposedly espouses. Emotion or not, that is simply wrong. Hence, my statements about the First Amendment and no legal requirements to love the country.

I probably am being pedantic, though; always a distinct possibility. To be clear, I've got no love for Moore, any more than I have for Limbaugh or any other ideological windbag.

Ah, steelheart, we posted simultaneously I see. Anyway, I didn't say you said he should be killed, as I explained in the post above.

Until such time as 'unworthy' holds any legal weight, it's a pretty silly statement. If we're going to measure or determine citizenship on the basis of being worthy, there's an awful lot of fat that would be trimmed, and it would be on all sides of the political spectrum.
