Mexicans shoot at Border Patrol

I'd say the Boarder Patrol should be patroling with 3 men in a Humvee with a .50 cal. mount and start shooting back ;) If it becomes to much of a problem lets call in the Troops. End this nonsense once and for all ;)

We should be watching our boarders a little more closely then those of others overseas :)

I say mine the borders. Between the Mexicans and them pesky Canadians, we should have mined the borders a long time ago. Nothing a paved concrete "no man's land" 1 mile wide, with plenty of tanglefoot, razorwire, fougasses, and embedded claymores wouldn't cure.

At the least it would cure border crossings.

I also second the preplanned arty missions for the Border Patrol agents to use, not only would it give the cannon cockers some valuable practice, but can you imagine the films we'd get for Fox TV? "World's Most Shocking Border Crossings XI!"

"Fire Mission, over!"

If the US State Deparment (among others) had any b**** the following two letters would be sent,

The first to the military Governor of the Mexican state that borders the US at that point and the second to the President of Mexico.

"Dear General **********,

As you know there have been several incidents of members of the Mexican military crossing into the US and firing on our citizens and law enforcement officers. This must stop and we are requesting that you exert all possible pressures to cause the end of these events. If the raids do not cease the following notice will pe posted along the border, published in newspapers, and aired on television and radio. '$100,000 will be paid, in gold, for the head of General ******** delivered to any Border Patrol office. The following rewards will be paid for the heads of any Mexican military personnel conducting raids into the US. Soldiers $10,000, NCO's $20,000, Officers $50,000. All rewards will be paid in gold or any currancy you wish.'

General, you now have a vested interest in seeing that the incidents cease.

Have a nice day,

"

"Dear President @@@@@@@@@@@,

We at the US State Department hope that this finds you in good health because what we have to say may be up setting. Enclosed is a copy of the letter we have sent to General *********, Military Governor of the State of Sonora (or what ever the state is), regarding the several invasions of Mexican military units into the US. We have been very patient but if the events do not stop we will take action. Please be assured that we can and will offer greater rewards for those above General ******** if things do not improve.

Sleep well,

"

paratrooper, amen brother.

I've got a book I'm writing, has nothing to do with this topic except...in the first chapter the U.S. nukes a new border with Mexico using low yeilds from the Gulf to the Pacific...leaving a nice glowing canyon.

I still like the idea. ;)

They won't fire back when fired upon but they will tell me that I have no business coming back from Wal Mart on the old highway instead of the Interstate. USBP has their priorities backward.

Mexican Army troops? In a "mini van"???? Sounds awfully fishy to me. Probably drug smugglers who got caught and thought they'd do away with some agents.

If true though, yes, I'd say an armed incursion of our country, topped by assault on federal agents, would be a declaration of war. Time for another state or two.

Yep, the literal translation is 'munchers of fertilizer' but it's sort of a generic curse and I thought the english term 'motherf***ers' flowed better in the phrase. Call it artistic license ;)

I thought this was common knowledge. Several times a year the Mexican Army or somebody dressed up in their uniforms enters the U.S. armed. Sometimes there is a confrontation, sometimes they're just observed. They robbed an Arizona rancher about a year and a half ago. Border Patrol agents are shot at regularly in Nogales. If they get near the line they often take incoming rounds from across the border. It literally is a combat zone.

When you live down here, everybody knows about it and you assume that the rest of the country does also. I have been telling my bosses for a while that these are acts of war, but we are a state agency and the Feds don't really care what we think and my bosses just kind of shrug their shoulders with the "What are you gonna do?" kind of attitude.

Another example that happened recently. Some of the narcotics officers I know down here chased a couple of pickups loaded with marijuana that had crossed the border. One driver got away (back into Mexico) but they caught the other driver. He told them that there were two Mexican snipers set up on American soil to guard the trucks in case they were chased. The officers got lucky and the chase went away from the snipers positions.

These are, maybe not everyday occurences, but at least weekly. One of the things that allows this to go on is the Hispanic rights movement down here. When aliens cross the border and die of thirst in the desert in this country, the Border Patrol and Arizona citizens are blamed. Anything that happens to Mexican nationals is reported and howled about and the discussion rages about how their "rights" are being violated. I better stop now before I start saying what I really think. But the incursions are real.

gee whiz, aren't these guys armed ???

Let's go over this once more for those who missed it - concealment does not = cover.

A bush is not 'cover'.

I agree with the order for A10 coverage, and maybe some arty.

RH,

There's not a whole lot of cover in that neck of the woods. Scrub desert, pretty flat, no trees to speak of.

You take what you've got, and those were the bushes, I guess.

Would you have sent Alexander Graham Bell back?

How about John Garand?
