Maybe a new .45?

Sold several 45s over the past year, including HK, SIG and DW. Wanted one to carry. Bought the Shield, before rebate. Super pistol! Then bought a STI EDGE. Finally found a CZ 97b. Wanted the CZ 97bd, but not available; took months to get a new CZ.

Previously, thought the HK Mark 23 was best all around. Suspect the CZ 97b will be better, if it turns out as good as my buddy's. Hard to beat the Shield 45 for carry.

I have a Mark 23 H&K and an FNP 45. I prefer the FN.

For me, nothing says 45 ACP like a 1911. I don't know that I would feel "right" shooting something else in 45 ACP.

Still, if I was able to overcome that prejudice, I've had good luck with S&W and so that's where I would start looking next.

Of course, the money needed to buy another 45 ACP pistol would go a long way towards showing up the shortfall in my retirement account...

I didn't buy anything at the gun show this weekend, but I'm thinking that for my next .45, a 3rd gen S&W might be just what I'm looking for. Maybe. As always, I'll need to overthink it.

I'm a fan of the 4566, here's my four fives.
