Mauser bought on Gunbroker

Guys I found out the seller is on vacation in FL and has not mailed his copy of his DL to my FFL dealer. My FFL dealer said he could take a photo of it with his phone and text it to them and I called and told him that, but he still has not. So, anyway is my FFL unlawfully holding my firearm because the seller's name and return address is on the box?

The seller is also identified through his Gunbroker account where he registered using a bank card in order to become a seller. You also have his phone number and email address.
But the question remains, does your FFL need a copy of the seller's photo ID?

Aaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrgggggggggg!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm starting to understand why some dealer refuse to accept transfers from nonlicensees.

Above I posted about a gun thay came in with a UPS Store return address and no other information. It took five days, but we tracked down the buyer and seller and got it squared away.

And then it happens again this week.

A little CZ pistol arrives in a USPS Priority Mail box.

The box is addressed to someone i don't know and to make it worse the return address is:
"Jackson ?" and an address in Ypsilanti, MI........... Do they not even know their own last name?

I have half a mind to turn it over to the Postal Inspectors.

That's why I don't buy online. Too many hassles to deal with. Sure you get better prices usually but it's worth another $50-100 to me to get it locally.

I still can't get the seller to return my call and the FFL said they would just hold the rifle. I'm getting real irritated:mad:

Okay, at this point I don't think there is anything we can do to help you.

Come back and let us know how it turned out, if you must, but I don't think this is anything more than sharing your frustration and as much as I may sympathize with the wait you have experienced so far, this thread is actually getting a tad silly.
