Marlin XT-17v

Thanks guys :)

I've always been one to zero at 100 and call it good. From there I'll just hold wherever needed to compensate for range or wind, which is why I'm such a fan of BDC reticles.

I need to find some more places near by where I can shoot at longer ranges outside so I can actually shoot past 100 yards and see the impacts of my bullets in the dirt. It's so much more fun that way!

I know of some places already, but most of them require a bit of a drive  ... I'll admit. I've been a little lazy lately.

Thanks again for all the comments and suggestions. I'll see what I can do in the future when this all comes together to let you guys know how it's all working.

You are going to be very impressed with the accuracy of that rig. Post a pic when you get the scope mounted and shoot that first 1/2" group (on a calm day.) I honestly believe that the Savage and Marlin heavy barrel rimfires are the best bang for the buck in the gun world.

The scope came in the mail today. I'm impressed!

I was concerned that the reticle was going to be a little thick based on what I've seen online, but I was pleasantly surprised!

I think, as long as I find the right ammo, I should have no problem turning out tiny little groups with this set up!
