Marlin's model 60 has been produced by the scores of thousands for almost 50 years. It's a time proven design that works well with just a little maintenance. Nothing wrong with accurasy either.

The M60 is the rifle you buy when you absolutely can't afford anything else. You have a 10/22, spend the M60 money on ammo instead. I give accuracy a slight edge to the M60 (not enough difference to make or break a shot at a squirrel or beer can), everything else (and I mean EVERYTHING) goes to the 10/22 in heads up comparison.

That's hardly the reason I bought mine, and I've fired a 10/22 many times... I grew up with a M60 in my hands and a M75, the total lack of problems that I had with the gun leave me wondering what more the 10/22 could have offered... Keep in mind here we're just talking about a .22.... Not a long range precision rig.

Did Ruger's marketing department write that up for you?
