Major Malfunctions with Sig CPO P220

Sig has pretty good customer service.

Since this is happening after every shot, I'm sure Sig will identify and fix the problem.

Don't fret about it too much.

Got the pistol back today, they replaced the slide release and polished the feed ramp. Letter says they put over 50 rounds of various ammo through it. I'm gonna try and test it tomorrow.

Start with Snap Caps, they are plastic and won't gouge anything,
but they dang sure check function like regular bullets!
You'll know Real Quick if there's any issues.

You cannot hand cycle a slide fast enough to simulate actual firing IMHO. Failures or lack of failures using snap caps will not tell you if the gun will function 100% when fired.

Only way to know is fire the gun.

Check Snap Caps before relying on them for function tests.

I had a new pistol that consistently locked the slide back with one Snap Cap left in the magazine. After a lot of head-scratching, I measured the Snap Cap and it was just a tad smaller than a real round - but enough smaller to allow the magazine follower to engage the slide stop.

doesn;t matter so long as it works.

I think that really needs to be repeated. You hear about all these "serious" problems people think they have and most times they are cosmetic. Not to say the OP doesn't have an issue but a lot of times if the pistol works the problem is not really as huge as some think. As a side note I've never used a snap cap in my life and several of my pistols have seen many thousands of dry fires.
