M29 for plinking? Yes!

Accuracy was excellent, but I'll confess to stacking the trigger. I wasn't shooting truly double-action like I do with my 586.
IMHO - same thing...if not actually more difficult.
I look at stacking the same way I look at a set trigger on a rifle.
You take up the heavy work of moving the cylinder and retracting the hammer, then just "ease it on over the top" ever so gently when it hits that special spot that only your trigger finger knows - that drops the hammer.
 
I just don't see much difference between heavy .357 loads, and a .44 Mag. If you can shoot one, you can shoot the other.
The beauty of a magnum revolver, is it's versatility. Plink with the squib loads, but have the ability to really ratchet up to a magnum load when needed/wanted.
